Thank you for being here

First, let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m Joli (they/them/theirs). I am an empathy enthusiast, contradiction collector, and a passionate educator with over a decade of experience. Some of the identities that inform my social positionally and shape my worldview include being a neuroqueer, Italian-American, non-binary, chronic pain managing New Yorker.

But truthfully, there’s a lot more to me than that sentence.

Learners of mine are incredible people. They include higher education professionals, college students*, medical professionals, sexual violence prevention and response teams, law enforcement personnel, building/construction tradespeople, corporate leadership, fitness instructors, and various clinical** teams— from all across the country! I also have the profound opportunity to facilitate learning among parents, partners, social activist communities, book clubs, and more!

In all of these circumstances — no matter how different the details— I am always teaching about how we can all have safe, fulfilling relationships.

And I love it.

*including athletes, Greek life, student leaders, student groups, international, and on-boarding students on the graduate undergraduate levels

**including social workers, psychotherapists, speech language pathologists, body workers and other mental health professionals
